Why projector choice matters
The projector has to fit the screen, avoid player shadows, stay bright enough and mount safely inside the simulator room.
Throw distance explained
Throw distance = image width × throw ratio. If image width is 4000mm and throw ratio is 0.5, the projector sits around 2000mm from the screen.
Short throw vs standard throw
Short throw usually reduces shadow risk. Standard throw can work in deeper rooms but needs careful placement.
Aspect ratio
Match projector, PC output and screen shape to avoid stretching, cropping or overspill around the enclosure.
Brightness
Controlled residential rooms need less brightness than large screens, bright rooms or commercial venues.
Resolution
1080p, WUXGA and 4K can all work. The right choice depends on screen size, PC output and room expectations.
Mounting and protection
